| 2008 Leadership Conference
This year’s Conference, held in Columbus on April 14 and 15, was attended by 462 social workers, mental health professionals, healthcare providers, local and state health department staff, community based organization staff, consumers and community activists. The Conference offered traditional leadership training with national and regional speakers.
Individuals representing Ryan White Program Part B Consortia, the AIDS Education & Training Center and the HIV CARE Services Section, as well as People Living With HIV/AIDS planned the 2008 Conference. This planning committee worked diligently with sponsors to offer an affordable conference that addressed issues affecting all those working and living within the HIV/AIDS spectrum. Our plan is to once again offer an affordable Conference in 2009 that will be open to everyone affected by HIV/AIDS.
With 39 workshops, 4 plenary sessions and an Ethics Training session, the 2008 Leadership Conference offered participants numerous educational opportunities regarding all aspects of HIV disease care and treatment.
