74th OAC Healing Weekend -June 11-13, 2010 Bergamo Center -Dayton, OH
This Healing Weekend will be for HIV-positive women residing in Ohio. HIV positive women face a unique combination of issues related to their gender and HIV status. Clinical services for women are comprehensive, but limited in range. Medical care alone does not address integral familial, social, community, and personal issues. Social support, community involvement, and healthy relationships are vital for the overall health and well-being of a woman.
The goal of the Weekend will be to improve the knowledge and understanding HIV-positive Ohioans have regarding their health and wellbeing.By attending this Weekend, participants will be better prepared to cope with issues that might interfere with adherence to their medical plan.
There is no cost to attend this Healing Weekend. All participants must complete a Registration Application Form. The Application Form will be available in February, 2010.
